Lesson Summary

In today's 60-minute beginner level session, the focus was on trauma-informed yoga. The session included:

  • Continuing to work on hip openers and balance poses to help reset the internal gyroscope.
  • Introducing a modified version of Warrior 3 into the standing pose sequence.
  • Ending the session with a 3-minute lying breathwork sequence, focusing on circle breaths without any pauses, using both nostril breathing and open mouth breathing.

Incorporating techniques from previous sessions, active breathing will play a more significant role. The intention is to integrate more breathwork and mindfulness practices into the flows, potentially at the beginning or end of the class.

This addition aims to help students arrive at or depart from the session with a sense of ritual and gratitude for their yoga practice.
