RSL Active - Yoga (Riverton Rnd 5) - 60min beginner friendly yoga (20Aug24)

In this weeks session instructor Andy challenges the particpants by combining the previous weeks learnings into a more traditional flow.....and they passed with flying colours. It's so rewarding to see how much progress and transformation that can happen with consistent practice.

Introduction

Somatic Tapping - neck stretches - face tapping

3 part breath - forward fold - halfway lift - standing twists (t-arms)

shoulder (strap) flossing

Standing, balance & core

chair - extended mountain - stork pose

reset gyroscope standing turns (non yoga) - stork w hip opener 4 x 90 deg turns L+R

wide legged - warrior 2 - reverse warrior - extended side angle

wide legged - warrior 2 - reverse warrior - extended side angle - triangle (new)

high lunge - crescent lung w/ cactus arms - stork

chair plank

Cool down

supported legs up the wall, supported bridge, leg hip external rotations w/strap

supine twists

breathwork in easy pose

savasana
